Parents of students at Shepherdstown Elementary School in Jefferson County have been notified art teacher Douglass Hunt may never be back.

Hunt, 51, of Charles Town, is in federal custody after allegedly arranging a meeting in nearby Loudon County, Virginia with underage girls for sex. It turned out to be part of an undercover investigation.

Court records show Hunt allegedly answered an ad on craigslist.org that said "my2 gurls and me - 99" (ctown/leesburg/hf)."

Authorities say he was arrested shortly after getting a key to a hotel room from the woman he thought was the mother of the girls who he was told were 12 and 13.

Hunt has taught in Jefferson County for 11 years and he's also the boys varsity soccer coach at Jefferson High School.

Jefferson County school officials say Hunt hasn't been at Shepherdstown Elementary since his arrest.
