State Police say there is a lot they do not know right now about what lead to Sunday night's accident on Interstate 79 in Harrison County.
Two people were killed in the crash that shutdown I-79 northbound close to Anmoore for more than three hours on Sunday night.
Troopers say 56-year old Richard Byron French, Senior from Putnam County was driving south in the northbound lanes of Interstate 79 near Bridgeport when his vehicle slammed into another vehicle near the 118 mile marker.
French, who is from Scott Depot, was killed along with another passenger in his vehicle who was not being identified early on Monday afternoon.
The driver of the other vehicle, identified as 26-year old Robert Shaw from Philippi, was still unresponsive at Ruby Memorial Hospital as of Monday.
