Foundation Coal is laying off 60 miners in southern West Virginia.
The company will also trim production at a mine located in the towns of Pax in Fayette County and Paynter Branch in Wyoming County.
How much production will be reduced has not been announced yet. The company is citing falling prices and lower demands for the cuts.
