Two separate murder investigations continue today in Southern West Virginia.
In Mingo County, a Marrowbone man is accused of shooting to death his 72-year old uncle outside of his home Tuesday night.
Mingo County Sheriff's deputies say 45-year old Randall Luther is charged with first degree murder after allegedly shooting Freddy Brewer five times.
Deputies say Luther was waiting for them when they arrived at the home after the shooting. He was being held in the Southwestern Regional Jail.
Meanwhile, a Virginia man was awaiting extradition to West Virginia on Wednesday on murder charges connected to death of a man in the Jolo area early on Tuesday morning.
Those with the McDowell County Sheriff's Department say 34-year old Joseph Horn from Jewell Ridge will be charged with murder and arson.
The man killed was 44-year old Michael Rife from Jewell Ridge.
