The fate of a proposed wind farm project in Mineral County is now up to the state Public Service Commission.
The PSC has until January 11th to hand down a decision on whether to approve a permit for the Pinnacle Wind Force project on Green Mountain near Mount Storm.
The company wants to build 23 wind turbines.
During testimony before the PSC earlier this week, Pinnacle executives said the project would create 55 megawatts of clean energy per year, enough to power 14,000 homes.
The projected cost of the turbines is $120 million.
However, opponents of the wind farm say the project will have little impact on the power grid and the reduction on greenhouse gases.
