A late night domestic dispute over the phone turns into a much bigger deal. Kanawha County Sheriff's Deputies say one is jailed, another is hurt, and more charges could be pending.
According to deputies Crystal Shamblin and her 48-year-old mother Kim Daugherty of Kenna were arguing over the phone late Tuesday night. Investigators say the daughter told her mother not to come to the home, but she did anyway.
Shamblin's husband, 22-year old Richard Shamblin, attempted to stop Daugherty from entering the home when she arrived. The altercation turned physical and deputies say Daugherty wound up shoving Mr. Shamblin into the path of an oncoming vehicle. The vehicle struck Shamblin and then Daugherty jumped into the passenger side and sped away.
Daugherty was arrested and charged with attempted murder.
