Saturday is Senior Day at Joan C. Edwards Stadium in Huntington as Marshall University plays its final home football game of the season.
Kickoff is set for 4:30 p.m. for the Herd and SMU.
It'll be the third meeting for Marshall (5-5) and SMU (6-4). SMU comes into the game in first place in the Conference USA West Division.
A win would make the Herd eligible for a bowl. "Six wins doesn't guarantee you a bowl game, but it at least puts you in the possible discussions for it," Thundering Herd/ISP Network Play-By-Play Announcer Steve Cotton said on Friday's Morning News.
Fifteen seniors will be taking the field in Huntington for the last time.
They are Daniel Baldridge, James Burkes, Montel Glasco, Craig Ratanamon, John Jacobs, Ashton Hall, Albert McClellan, Lyndle Jones, Jimmy Rogers, Cody Slate, Andre Portis, Josh Miller, John Saunders, Sean McClellan and Brandon Burns.
Slate will not be playing in his final game in Huntington.
"Cody caught the 199th pass in his outstanding Marshall career last week and then, when he was tackled, took a helmet to the knee, torn ACL and so his Marshall career came to an inauspicious end," Cotton says.
The last game of the season for the Herd will come on the road, next weekend, at UTEP in El Paso, Texas.
