The West Virginia Public Service Commission has deferred the decision when it comes to the sale of Hope Gas, Inc. The commission cited the complexity of the Hope case as the main reason to delay the decision until later.
However, the PSC did decide to grant Hope a 5-percent rate amounting to about $8.78 million in additional revenue for the company’s base rate. The company had requested an 18.9-percent increase in its total rates looking for about a $34.4 million increase in its revenue streams.
The commission says it will issue an order in the sales case as soon as possible.
