A Grant County magistrate says there's enough evidence against the man accused of setting fires at Smoke Hole Caverns to forward the charges to the grand jury.
The magistrate did so following testimony Wednesday in Grant County Magistrate Court.
Brent Michael Combs, 24, of Cabins is charged with first and second-degree arson and three counts of arson causing injury. The Nov. 10-11 blazes destroyed the gift shop and restaurant at the popular tourist attraction.
A Grant County sheriff's deputy testified Combs was linked to the crime through a bottle of malt alcohol, two wooden matchsticks and dog hair found at the scene. Similar items were found at his home.
Combs remains in the Potomac Highlands Regional Jail on $285,000 bail. The next grand jury session in Grant County is set for March 2, 2010
