As the first day of the Greenbrier Classic tournament got underway a lot of action was taking place on the 18th green. That's where Greenbrier owner Jim Justice received the highest honor any West Virginian can earn, "The Distinguished West Virginia Award".

Governor Joe Manchin presented the award to Justice because of all of the hard work he has done to bring this PGA TOUR event to the mountain state. Manchin said Justice has far exceeded everyone's expectations.

"Every now and then you have a West Virginian who goes above and beyond the call of duty and does more than any one every expects," said the governor. "Jim has had a vision and a dream, but he has gone beyond that."
