Logan's Brett Sorrell opened the 4th quarter on fire, hitting two long jumpers, putting the Wildcats in the lead for the first time, 51-46 with 6:33 to play, while Weir went stone cold, failing to score in the entire 4th quarter while Logan put up 21 points.

The lead was short lived for Preston as Capital's Booth and Berkley took control of the game for the Cougars. Fourth-seed Charleston Catholic Irish beat the fifth-seed Buffalo Bison two times this season. That trend continued in the Civic Center as the Irish beat the Bison 56-49 in their closest contest of the season.
The beginning of this game didnt seem like the two previous match-ups earlier this season. The Bison came out aggressive and took an 18-7 lead at the end of the first quarter.
It didnt take long in the second quarter for Charleston Catholic to work back into the game. With Buffalo up ten with 6:44 left. Then the Irish went on an 8-0 run to get within two. Then Buffalo then knuckled down and leading scorer Adam Scott who averages 18.1 points per game scored 11 in the first-half and gave the Bison the lead at 31-26 going into the locker room.
The Irish came out more aggressive than in the first-half but Buffalo was able to stick with Catholic toe-to-toe. The lead was never more than five in the third quarter. With 15 seconds left Buffalos Cameron Jones made one of two from the line and out the Bison up by one at the end of the third.
Buffalos lead didnt last in the fourth quarter as the Bison went scoreless for the first 4:32 on the quarter until Garrett Burdette made two free throws and Buffalo was down by five. Not to long after that Buffalo began to foul. As Catholic missed their free throws Scott got the ball and nailed a 3-pointer with 1:31 left to get the Bison within one.
That was Buffalos last hope, as Catholic made their free throws the deficit was too much for Buffalo.
The leading scorers were John Baird for Catholic with 14 and Scott for Buffalo with 17.
Charleston Catholic will advance to play Tucker County Friday at 7:15 PM in the semifinals.
